Hoping in the mercies of God is your greatest testimony 27/11/2022
Psalm 136: 1-26
The mercy of God should be your biggest testimony in life, every day when you understand what that means.
The fact that you find it possible to come to church among millions who don’t even bother any more or care about God is not small and neither is it something you should ignore
Don’t you even belittle the mercies of the Lord in life.
Definition of Mercy
Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone who it is within one’s power to punish or harm.
It is by the mercies of God that we also have hope every day of our life
For some of us the mercies of the Lord is a big motivational factor, it keep us going.
We appreciate the mercies of God because we know what it means for us in this.
Ezekiel 33: 11 -16
Ephesians 2:8 -9
The bible says that the stead-fast love of the Lord never ceases and His mercies never comes to an end.
The mercies of the Lord are new every morning.
Lamentation 3:22-23
Tell me the greatest and most terrible sinner who cannot obtain the mercies of the Lord.
Unless you cannot repent from those sins and forsake them.
But if you acknowledge your sin and repent, the mercies of the lord can locate you. The bible says the mercies are new every morning and his faithfulness towards all generations.
If you understand that, you will stop sinning any how or to sin at will.
What an opportunity brethren, to be located by the mercies of God
Romans 9: 13- 29
That should be your greatest testimony, that your sins are forgiven, and you can receive life from the Lord, because of His mercies.
Maybe you did not receive a house yet or a job yet, but His mercies are released for you every morning.
The mercies of God are greater than receiving a car, house or any other earthly blessing
The Lord says I will show mercies to whom I will show mercies……….
If you know how to humble yourself before God, the mercies of the Lord can locate you.
David was a worse sinner, compared to Saul –Act 13: 17- 23
Remember what David did
He took somebody ‘s wife, also killed the husband in the war but when he was confronted by the prophet about his sin, David acknowledged it before God and repented, seeking the mercies of God with supplication.
The prodigal son also has a lesson to us about the mercies of God
What you should know, is that it is big and excellent feeling if you r sins are forgiven.
Psalm 32: 1
The mercies of God over your life should be your best testimony ever
To feel justified is your best testimony ever if you walk in the spirit.
When you feel heavy, and without joy and sorrowful, that is not life, you are miserable.
Proverb 17: 22
We sometimes do not feel blessed enough because things we prayed for are not yet received.
You look around you and everybody else seems to be blessed and you left out.
I have good news for you, the mercies of God, is what will bring you your miracles if you understand the importance of it.
Look for the mercies of God, don’t you ever walk in an attitude of entitlement and complains.
Pray for the mercies of God today over your life and go home justified.
