SOW TO YOURSELVES IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, REAP IN MERCY 02/03/2022

HOSEA 10:1-4;12-14
¶ ISRAEL IS AN EMPTY VINE, HE BRINGETH FORTH FRUIT UNTO HIMSELF: ACCORDING TO THE MULTITUDE OF HIS FRUIT HE HATH INCREASED THE ALTARS; ACCORDING TO THE GOODNESS OF HIS LAND THEY HAVE MADE GOODLY IMAGES.
2 THEIR HEART IS DIVIDED; NOW SHALL THEY BE FOUND FAULTY: HE SHALL BREAK DOWN THEIR ALTARS, HE SHALL SPOIL THEIR IMAGES.
3 FOR NOW THEY SHALL SAY, WE HAVE NO KING, BECAUSE WE FEARED NOT THE LORD; WHAT THEN SHOULD A KING DO TO US?
4 THEY HAVE SPOKEN WORDS, SWEARING FALSELY IN MAKING A COVENANT: THUS JUDGMENT SPRINGETH UP AS HEMLOCK IN THE FURROWS OF THE FIELD.
12 SOW TO YOURSELVES IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, REAP IN MERCY; BREAK UP YOUR FALLOW GROUND: FOR IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD, TILL HE COME AND RAIN RIGHTEOUSNESS UPON YOU.
13 YE HAVE PLOWED WICKEDNESS, YE HAVE REAPED INIQUITY; YE HAVE EATEN THE FRUIT OF LIES: BECAUSE THOU DIDST TRUST IN THY WAY, IN THE MULTITUDE OF THY MIGHTY MEN.

JEREMIAH 4:3-4 “FOR THUS SAITH THE LORD TO THE MEN OF JUDAH AND JERUSALEM, BREAK UP YOUR FALLOW GROUND, AND SOW NOT AMONG THORNS.4: CIRCUMCISE YOURSELVES TO THE LORD, AND TAKE AWAY THE FORESKINS OF YOUR HEART, YE MEN OF JUDAH AND INHABITANTS OF JERUSALEM: LEST MY FURY COME FORTH
BREAK UP YOUR FALLOW GROUND
FALLOW GROUNDS ARE GROUNDS THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT UNCULTIVATED,THEY GROWS ALL KINDS OF THINGS E.G THORNS.
WE KNOW THAT THORNS REPRESENT CURSES
WHEN JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED HE WORE A CROWN OF THORNS THAT WE MIGHT BE REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW GAL 3:13-14
: CHRIST HATH REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW, BEING MADE A CURSE FOR US: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, CURSED IS EVERY ONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE:
GA:3:14: THAT THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM MIGHT COME ON THE GENTILES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST; THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH FAITH
WE MUST BREAK UP OUR FALLOW GROUNDS OF UNBELIEF AND CARNALITY AND ABSOLUTLY TRUST IN WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR US
1 JOHN 5 :4-5
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jo:5:5: Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
WHAT DOES THE LORD SAY ABOUT FAITH? HEB 11:1;6
“NOW FAITH IS THE ASSURANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE CONVICTION OF THINGS NOT SEEN.” “AND WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR HE WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO SEEK HIM.”
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF SOWING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND REAPING IN THE MERCY OF GOD
RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE CONDITION OF BEING IN RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD ALMIGHTY THROUGH FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
THIS RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD CAN ONLY HAPPEN THROUGH TOTAL FAITH AND DEPENDENCE UPON CHRIST. .
WE ARE NOT MADE RIGHTEOUS BY WHAT WE DO.
RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A GIFT THAT COMES FROM THE LORD TO THOSE WHO ACCEPT WHAT JESUS HAS DONE FOR THEM BY FAITH ROMANS 5:.
CHRIST IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD FROM FAITH TO FATH
THE ONLY WAY FOR SINNERS LIKE YOU AND ME TO BE RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD IS THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS.
WHEN WE BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD WHICH TELLS US THAT CHRIST FULFILLED ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR US
AND THAT HE WAS SACRIFICED FOR US TO MAKE FULL ATONEMENT FOR ALL OUR SINS, GOD CREDITS IT TO US FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
GOD WILL SAVE THE PERSON WHO HAS THIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IN HIM OR HER
GOD HAS PUT THAT PERSON WHO BELIEVES IN HIS SON IN A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIMSELF BECAUSE OF HER OR HIS FAITH
THAT PERSON WILL LIVE ETERNALLY IN PEACE HERE AND AFTER HERE
HOW IS THIS RIGHTEOUSNESS RECEIVED?
ROMANS 10:1-18
0:1: Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Ro:10:2: For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Ro:10:3: For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Ro:10:4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Ro:10:5: For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Ro:10:6: But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Ro:10:7: Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Ro:10:8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Ro:10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ro:10:10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Ro:10:11: For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Ro:10:12: For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Ro:10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Ro:10:14: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Ro:10:15: And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Ro:10:16: But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Ro:10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Ro:10:18: But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
LET US SAY SOMETHING ABOUT FAITH. YOU CANNOT HAVE FAITH WITHOUT SPEAKING IT.
WHEN YOU STUDY ROMANS 10, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT IT SAYS THAT “THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS OF THE LAW…. DOES…. BUT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH SPEAKS.”
THE LAW IS ABOUT DOING, WHEREAS FAITH IS ABOUT SPEAKING.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST KNOW IN YOUR MIND THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST READ THIS CHAPTER OR HEAR A SERMON ON RIGHTEOUSNESS AND MENTALLY AGREE THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS
YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND SAY BY FAITH, “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.” (2 COR. 5:21)
THIS IS WHERE MANY BELIEVERS ARE MISSING OUT ON THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM. THEY ARE NOT SPEAKING THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH.
OUR FIRST RESPONSE TO A TRYING SITUATION IS VERY IMPORTANT.
OUR FIRST RESPONSE WHEN WE DISCOVER A SYMPTOM IN OUR BODY, WHEN WE RECEIVE A BAD REPORT OR WHEN WE ARE FACED WITH A TRIAL, SHOULD ALWAYS BE TO SAY, “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.”
YOU NEED TO NOT ONLY KNOW THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS, YOU NEED TO BELIEVE AND SPEAK YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST.
IT IS NOT FAITH UNTIL YOU SPEAK IT!
PAUL SAYS IN 2 CORINTHIANS 4:13. “AND SINCE WE HAVE THE SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH, ACCORDING TO WHAT IS WRITTEN, ‘I BELIEVED AND THEREFORE I SPOKE,’ WE ALSO BELIEVE AND THEREFORE SPEAK”
THE SPIRIT OF FAITH IS CLEARLY ABOUT BELIEVING AND SPEAKING.
SO IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY SERMONS OR BOOKS ON RIGHTEOUSNESS YOU HAVE HEARD AND READ. YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IT AND SPEAK IT.
WHEN YOU FAIL AND FALL SHORT OF THE LAW’S PERFECT STANDARD, THAT IS THE TIME YOU SHOULD EXERCISE YOUR FAITH TO SAY, “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.”
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENTHENS ME
FOR EXAMPLE WHEN YOU ARE BOILING IN ANGER AT YOUR SPOUSE,OR WHEN YOU HAVE JUST LOST YOUR COOL ON THE ROAD,
OR WHEN YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO OBEY GOD IT TAKES FAITH TO SAY THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE MISSED IT
. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? THE MOMENT YOU SAY IT, EVEN IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE MIDST OF YOUR ANGER OR STRUGGLES YOU WILL FEEL FREE AND ENABLED TO LIVE FOR CHRIST
AS SOON AS YOU DECLARE YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE A STEP BACK AND START TO RELAX IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
ALL THE ANGER AND FRUSTRATION AND FEARS WILL DISAPPEAR AS YOU BEGIN TO REALIZE YOUR TRUE IDENTITY AND COMPLETENESS IN CHRIST IN CHRIST.
YOU WILL NO LONGER STRUGGLE TO LIVE FOR CHRIST.THIS IS THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS ACTUALLY THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
GAL 5 :16-25
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Ga:5:17: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Ga:5:18: But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Ga:5:19: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Ga:5:20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Ga:5:21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ga:5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Ga:5:23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Ga:5:24: And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Ga:5:25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
WHAT IS YOUR FIRST RESPONSE TO TEMPTATIONS AND DIFFICULTIES OF LIFE
ARE YOU SIN-CONSCIOUS OR RIGHTEOUSNESS-CONSCIOUS?
SIN-CONSCIOUSNESS WILL DRAW YOU TO SUCCUMB TO YOUR TEMPTATION, WHEREAS RIGHTEOUSNESS-CONSCIOUSNESS GIVES YOU THE POWER TO OVERCOME EVERY TEMPTATION.
THAT IS WHY THE ENEMY WANTS TO KEEP YOU SIN-CONSCIOUS.
RISING AND FALLING AND CONFESSING YOUR SINS ALL THE TIME KEEPS YOU SIN-CONSCIOUS.
IT IS AS IF JESUS DID NOT BECOME YOUR SIN ON THE CROSS.
RIGHTEOUSNESS-CONSCIOUSNESS KEEPS YOU CONSCIOUS OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE VICTORY YOU HAVE IN HIM OVER ALL TEMPTATIONS
EVERY TIME YOU SPEAK OUT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIIT, YOU MAGNIFY THE WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS.
SO START TO REALLY BELIEVE AND SPEAK THE TRUTH: “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.”
THEN, YOU CANNOT HELP BUT SEE THE RESULTS OF MAGNIFYING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK IN YOU LIFE!
CONFESSING YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST KEEPS YOU CONSCIOUS OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE
. EVERY TIME YOU SPEAK IT, YOU MAGNIFY HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS. SO BELIEVE AND SPEAK THE TRUTH: “I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.”
THE MORE YOU BELIEVE IT AND SPEAK IT, THE MORE YOU WILL WALK IN THE BLESSINGS OF THE RIGHTEOUS THOUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
THIS IS WHAT THE BIBLE MEAN BY THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH
THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH IN GOD’ THAT IS GOD KIND OF FAITH
THE GOD KIND OF FAITH IS THE SAME FAITH THAT GOD USED TO CREATE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH
AND EVERY BORN-AGAIN BELIEVER HAS BEEN GIVEN ‘THE MEASURE’ OF IT
JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES, ‘HAVE FAITH IN GOD,’ OR YOU COULD SAY ‘HAVE OR RECEIVE GOD’S FAITH.
IN THE BOOK OF HABAKKUK, THE PROPHET CONTRASTS A GODLY PERSON WITH SOMEONE WHO PUTS ALL OF HIS FAITH IN HIMSELF.
WHEN WE RELY SOLELY ON OUR OWN STRENGTH, WE WILL INVARIABLY COME UP SHORT, AND OUR RESOLVE WILL WAIVER.
WE ARE SANCTIFIED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OUR HELPER ,OUR TEACHER ,AND OUR COMFORTER
THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS NOT ONLY SET US FREE FROM SIN BUT ALSO LIVES IN OUR HEARTS IN ORDER TO REMIND US TO FOLLOW JESUS MORE CLOSELY.
AS WE DAILY FOLLOW JESUS, WE BECOME HOLY, SET APART FOR SERVING GOD
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT A RIGHTEOUS MAN?
ACCORDING TO PSALM 112 GOOD WILL COME TO HIM WHO IS GENEROUS AND LENDS FREELYAND WHO CONDUCTS HIS AFFAIRS WITH JUSTICE.
SURELY HE WILL NEVER BE SHAKEN; A RIGHTEOUS MAN WILL BE REMEMBERED FOREVER.
HE WILL HAVE NO FEAR OF BAD NEWS; HIS HEART IS STEADFAST, TRUSTING IN THE LORD.
RIGHTEOUSNESS BRINGS A MAN CLOSER TO GOD,
AS IT ENHANCES FELLOWSHIP WITH THE ALMIGHTY GOD.
ADAM ENJOYED DIVINE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD BEFORE HE FELL, BECAUSE OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
THERE IS ALSO POWER AND AUTHORITY IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, AS IT GIVES VICTORY IN BATTLES. IT ALWAYS BRINGS GOD’S PRESENCE AND BRINGS ABOUT BOLDNESS.
MINISTRATION
PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT SANCTIFY MY HEART TODAY THAT I MIGHT TOTALLY BREAK UP MY FALLOW GROUND AND START TO SOW IN RIGHTEOUSNESS IN JESUS NAME
PRAYERS FOR OUR CHILDREN
